Description
We are looking for enthusiastic Accounts Technicians Interns to join our Accounts and Finance Department. This internship will help you acquire accounting skills and provide you with knowledge of various financial procedures. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in Accountancy and Finance and be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.
Roles and responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for the following duties:
- Manage and monitor daily cash receipts and payments, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Manage petty cash by ensuring timely replenishment.
- Ensure that all receipts are accurately recorded in the company’s accounting system and reconcile them with bank records through timely bank reconciliations.
- Assist the Accountant in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and year-end financial statements.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all supporting documents are properly organized and filed.
- Ensure compliance with the organization’s financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Perform any other accounting or administrative duties as may be assigned by the Accountant, Finance Manager, or other authorized supervisors.
Requirements
Applicants must have attained Ordinary Diploma in Accountancy or Banking and Finance or any related fields from a reputable Government Recognised Institution, and other skills as follows:
- Strong Book-keeping Skills
- Experience in accounting system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (excel, word) and general computer applications
- Strong written and oral communication Skills
- Highest level of integrity
- Excellent customer service and care
- Well decision making ability
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to work independently with little need for supervision.
- Experience in using any accounting system will be an added advantage.
