Description
The ICT area needs a dynamic and enthusiastic Tutor with relevant professional knowledge. An ICT Tutor provides instruction in basic information and communication technology (ICT) skills to students at all levels of education at the college. As an ICT Tutor, your job duties include planning lessons that correspond to your students’ ability level, facilitating class activities, and providing feedback to students about their work and progress in ICT. To teach an integrated class that includes students with special needs or disabilities, you must differentiate your lessons to accommodate the unique learning requirements of those students.
Requirements
The tutor should have following capabilities:
Plan, prepare and teach lessons at all levels appropriate to qualifications or experience.
Plan, develop and deliver appropriate learning plans for individual students.
Implement the NACTE’s Curriculum
Contribute to the development, implementation and review of policies, lesson plans and schemes of work.
Assess students work and monitor achievement in a timely manner using electronic systems, and to record and report the development, progress and attainment of students in accordance with the College’s assessment policies and in line with the principles of Assessment for Learning.
Make use of current technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Be a tutor to an assigned group of students and to carry out the associated academic and pastoral responsibilities as required.
Implement the College’s inclusion and equal opportunity policies.
Ensure that teaching assistants or other support staff and visiting speakers are used effectively in the learning environment.
Take part in the Course review process and adapt delivery patterns to meet student needs
Should be able to work well with a range of people.
Should be able to work in a team.
Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
